MOCK AUDITIONS - REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
*Registration is closed at this time.*
Mock auditions will take place between 1:20 and 2:20 pm. Students must sign up in advance to perform a mock audition. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Students who register for a mock audition will be given a 10-minute time slot and a chance to perform for our faculty. They must prepare one piece of their choosing. Please keep your selection to 2-5 minutes. Instrumentalists will not perform with accompaniment. However, vocalists should be prepared to perform with accompaniment. An accompanist will be provided for the workshop. Vocalists, please bring one clean copy of your music for the accompanist to use.
Those who are scheduled to perform should check in at the desk in the lobby of the deLaski Performing Arts Building at 12:45 pm. Students should have time to attend the first session before their audition. Students will be given a chance to warm up a few minutes before their audition. However, it is strongly recommended that students do the majority of their preparation before arriving. Feedback will be provided during their mock audition time.
Students who do not wish to or are not able to participate in a mock audition are still welcomed to attend the workshop sessions.
Please note that these are not formal auditions and will not be considered for admission into the university. Students who would like to apply to George Mason University as a Music major must go through the proper application and audition process. Information about the formal audition process at George Mason can be found on our website.
